More hope in the day of fading glory

Have you ever been bad & just knew you needed discipline? It seems as if that is the way of the church right now in America. Some are aware of our un-Christ likeness, some are unaware & continue in rebellion. The writing is on the wall that the church in America is like Jonah on a storm tossed ship, the world is along for the storm because of OUR iniquity. The Lord is merciful & loves His bride, either He will spare us from our judgment, 2Chron. 7:14 or He will need to use the rod in His divine, wise love (whom the Lord loves, He chastens, to share in His holiness.)
Either way, it is exciting to me to feel the change in the air. Maybe like a porn addict who is sick & tired of his sin & wants to be free. It reminds me of a song of the radio, "I need You like hurricane, thunder clouds & crashing rain, to tear these walls down..."
Thank God He has appointed over us a wicked ruler, it saves us from complacency. Maybe the church now understands the need to seek Him.
"Behold this is our God, for whom we have waited that He might save us
This is the Lord God for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice in His salvation.
We have waited for You eagerly; Your Name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.
At night my soul longs for You, indeed my spirit within me seeks You diligently. For when the earth
experiences Your judgments, the inhabitants of the earth learn righteousness.
Though the wicked are shown favor, he does not learn righteousness, he deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, and does not perceive the majesty of the Lord.
For behold the LORD is about to come out from His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.
The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in God the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.
For you have been a defense for the helpless, a defense for the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat.
O Lord they have sought You in distress; they could only whisper a prayer.
Your chastening was upon them
Come, My people, enter into your rooms and close your doors behind you;
Hide for a little while until indignation runs it's course. "
excerpts from Isaiah 25 & 26.
